Supernatural - Gypsy4ever - 05-21-2006

The new merger of UPN and the WB into the CW has picked up SUPERNATURAL for a second season. *does happy dance*
I was crossing my fingers for this one. The season finale gave me a heart attack.
I'm actually surprised there is not more talk about this show here on this board. It was seem the kind of show most RJ fans would flock too.
In fact, I can't help but think the Winchester boys and Jack would work well together. Dean is a very Jack like guy. And the story line of the show would blend seamlessly into the RJ world.
but, alas, *sigh* only in my dreams.
But this is only of my favorite shows, and trust me, I don't have many. (I watch only 2 others shows regularly, Numb3rs and Doctor Who. I HATE, let me repeat H-A-T-E, reality shows).
So, this fall when the new seasons start, give Supernatural a try. You'll love it.

Jack-like maybe... but his brother has Jack's brains.

Supernatural - Marc - 05-21-2006

I watched it for about half a season but it started to get very predictable and was extremely boring. By the time I gave up I could watch it in fast forward on the DVR in 3 minutes and know exactly what was happening. I'm glad it was picked up for you though! Maybe they'll pick up Firefly... *crosses fingers*

I thought the first 3 minutes of the pilot was great. After that...blech. Typical pretty-people WB show. I stuck it out for 3-4 episodes after that, then gave up.

Supernatural - APhew - 05-24-2006

I caught every show aired this season, save one. I think it had something to do with a family photo. Anyway, it started with both my wife and I watching it and she gave up around the 4th or 5th episode stating she couldn't stand it anymore. I knew exactly what she was talking about, but I stuck with it because shows like this don't usually make it a half-season, let alone a full (and now 2nd). I enjoyed some episodes and not others (okay, mostly not others). The entire time it did grate on me how bad some of the acting and dialogue was. There were plot holes in just about every episode, some of them big enough to swallow the entire show and possibly those before and after it. The dynamic between Sam, Dean and their father was cringe-inducing it was so badly cliche. Plus their idea of undercover was fake id's for just about every job classification out there. Yeah, Feds now wear leather jackets, sweat shirts, and drive '67 Impala's. Gambling and Identity Theft are their only source of incomes. Plus, I dare you to count how many times per episode they give each other meaningful looks. I'd call it a drinking game, but you'd get trashed on cooking sherry.

With that said, count me in for next season, WOO-HOO!!!
