THE TOMB Question - Mark S. - 05-04-2006 Hey there. I picked up Gateways on a whim at the grocery store last month and loved it. I've since started making my way through the rest of the Repairman Jack books. I've finished The Tomb, Legacies, and I've just started Conspiracies. Loving them bunches. I have a question about The Tomb though: What is the significance of the title? I don't remember a tomb playing into the story at all. The home of the rakoshi in India was more temple than tomb. The ship was more of a hideout. Is "the tomb" some subtle reference that completely escaped me? THE TOMB Question - Scott Miller - 05-04-2006 Mark S. Wrote:What is the significance of the title? The wisdom of publishers, it was supposed to be titled Rakoshi, but they didn't think anyone would get the title so they changed it, although you can now get Rakoshi under it's original title. Welcome to the board, btw. Let me be the first to say don't limit yourself to the RJ/Adversary Cycle books; all of his books are worth a read or two, or three... If you remember, the nest of rakoshi was bolwn up, along with the rest of the ship, so you could say that the ship was the rakoshi's tomb. I know that sounds far fetched but that's the thought I had when I finished the book the first time. Welcome to the board.
