question concerning Jack & Nightworld - ladydeath - 02-28-2006 Hey Everyone - Maybe I missed something here, but hopefully someone can clarify this. In the latest Repairman Jack novels both Rasalam and Glaeken are mentioned. However, it seems as if Jack has never heard of these two beings. Didn't he meet up with them in the Nightworld novel or have at least heard of them from this book? Any answers are greatly appreciated. Thanks! Gray question concerning Jack & Nightworld - jimbow8 - 02-28-2006 ladydeath Wrote:Hey Everyone -Although written before, Nightworld takes place after ALL the Repairman Jack novels. Nightworld is the FINAL chapter in the saga. Paul has mentioned (many times) that he will not write any stories after Nightworld. He is also working at updating the Adversary Cycle to conform with the new Repairman Jack novels. Click on FAQ at the top of the page for more info. Welcome question concerning Jack & Nightworld - BrettM - 02-28-2006 Jack met Rasalom (as "Sal Roma") for the first time in Conspiracies, but I don't think Jack learned his true name until Gateways. In any case, Jack is certainly aware of the Adversary prior to Nightworld. However, I'm not sure that Jack has yet heard Glaeken's name in the pre-Nightworld novels. He has been told that the Ally had a champion in the past, and that Jack is being groomed as a replacement, but I don't think Jack is even aware that the previous champion is still alive. I wonder if they'll meet in the next RJ novel, or if that meeting will be saved for the revised version of Nightworld. If I remember correctly, Jack learns of Glaeken's name and his status as a "champion" from one of the ladies with a dog in Crisscross. question concerning Jack & Nightworld - KRW - 02-28-2006 cobalt79 Wrote:SPOILER!
