Robert Wise passed away... - Kenji - 09-16-2005 Robert Wise, who won four Oscars as producer and director of the classic 1960s musicals "West Side Story" and "The Sound of Music," has died. "The Curse of the Cat People", "Day the Earth stood still", "The Haunting", "The Andromeda Strain", "Audrey Rose", and "Star Trek: The Motion Picture"........etc. RIP. What's your favorite in his movies? If I choose one, I'll pick "Day the Earth stood still". While I liked Frankenstein better, I like to hear Karloff's amazingly haunting voice. The Body Snatcher offers some fantastic Karloff dialogue and touches on some terrific tales of old.
