Rakoshi? - Scott Hajek - 03-05-2004 This is a question I've been meaning to ask for a while. If The Tomb should've been called Rakoshi why can't it be retitled so for the 20th Anniversary Borderlands Press edition? It will most likely get retitled as Repairman Jack for the movie tie-in. Rakoshi? - jimbow8 - 03-05-2004 Or possibly subtitled Repairman Jack Rakoshi? - Lisa - 03-05-2004 Scott Hajek Wrote:If The Tomb should've been called Rakoshi why can't it be retitled so for the 20th Anniversary Borderlands Press edition? Because "The Tomb" goes better with "The Keep" and "The Touch." "Die Hard" the movie was based on a book titled Nothing Lasts Forever and yet the book had been retitled. Also look at Mel Gibson's newest movie... the New Testament is being republished with an image of the movie on the cover. Since Paul is quoted as saying it should've been titled Rakoshi, I thought he could correct it now. I have watched that movie literally HUNDREDS of times and not seen any reference to that book. Who is the author? DIE HARD - greatest action movie ever, best villain (as far as intelligence and planning) ever!! I think Paul asked our opinion on this at GU-3 but I can't remember due to all the alcohol and Rob Walker conversations. I'm all for a change in name and, to continue with the "The", go with Paul's second title: The Rakoshi. Rakoshi? - Scott Hajek - 03-05-2004 jimbow8 Wrote:I didn't know that! "Die Hard 2" was based on the book 58 Minutes by Walter Wager who also wrote Telefon. Here is a trivia question that stumped the entire campus of Iowa State University about 11 years ago: "Die Hard" was based on a book that was actually a sequel to another. The 'prequel' was also made into a movie. Name the other actor that played the same literary character as Bruce Willis in "Die Hard." You have a hint above and the ability to search for it on the web, but see if you can answer it without help. Send me a private message if you know the answer... I'll post the answer if you want. Rakoshi? - jimbow8 - 03-05-2004 I don't know the answer to that. I can only guess it is one of the many inferior "Die Hard on a......." (train, airplane, ship, etc) knock-offs like Passenger 57 or those crappy Steven Seagal movies. I do know that Die Hard (3): With a Vengeance was originally written as a Lethal Weapon movie.
