What in the world did the Scarlet Witch see in him? Well, we all know androids like him are prime with the sweet-talk...

Not that I've ever been a big comic book reader, but The Vision has been my fave since I first saw him.... beating Hyperion's ass.

Missed that one, Jim. But the Vision in the great Avengers/Nefaria saga...ah!

It's from the Serpent Crown storyline ...... That's about all I could tell you. I could dig it up and get the issue # if you must know. Wink

Issue 147 is where Wanda stumbles upon the Squadron Supreme and the Vision takes them apart. It and 148 were a great ending to the Kang/Immortus story arc. And it had all the wild-west marvel heroes too. What's not to like?

He gave it a 9 1/2 out of ten, which is a 20 in everyone else's book. Smile

...had to go back a ways to get this thread back on-topic.

I you are both impatiently awaiting the sequel, scheduled for April 30, 2010?

According to IMDB's daily poll, that's the next instalment. Here's to hoping that Favreau and Downey Jr. can recreate the magic!

...and then there's the Thor movie as well in 2010. Oh and a couple interesting ones in 2011: Captain America: The First Avenger (May 10) and The Avengers (July). Apparently, Favreau said he would be interested in directing The Avengers.

Who needs Disneyland? :cornut:

I suspect THOR will be weak (How you gonna write non-hokey dialog for the guy? "Behold, Wapitikev! I have returned to the fray, and my wrath is like a raging fire! Yield, lest I batter thee near unto death!" Groans and laughter.) CAP =might= be good, if the film shows Steve Roger's inner turmoil. His guilt over Bucky's death.

Cap has more unclaimed baggage than the titanic: Bucky, his girlfriend is old enough to be his grandmother, the numerous men who took up his mantle and then died, Nick fury turned black, living representative of a country that has changed markedly in its very nature since 1945 (Vietnam, Kennedy and MLK assassinations, Watergate, the war on drugs, the Gulf War, the war on terror, etc). I'm sure theres a number of issues I've left out.

Sure he's a great natural leader, but emotionally he always stuck me as a complete mess. Kinda like Tony Stark on that subject, actually.

I'm using some free passes to go see it in just a few minutes.
