I have read all the Pendergast novels and I think my favorite is Brimstone. I actually read Reliquary before Relic and I think my favorite character out of both novels was Mephisto. That guy kicked ass. With a shotgun. Then got dead. But oh well...

As far as an actor to play Pendergast I have to completely agree with Webby and say Val Kilmer. Doc Holiday was originaly from Lousiana so is Pendergast.

Cool

Also I recomend the short story "Gone Fishin'" by Preston-Child. It was in the book Thriller. (along with "Interlude at Duane's") It has a great littler twist at the end.

I completely forgot I had suggested Val Kilmer. Had to go hunting back through the thread to find it. Big Grin

Having been reminded, I really like the idea, especially with Mad American's suggestion of David Bowie playing Diogenes. Imagine... Kilmer and Bowie in "Book of the Dead". Whoa. Too cool.
