I think he will fix an AlternaSpine somewhere. Lost-The Final Season(spoilers most likely to follow) - Brian - 02-03-2010 Alrighty then, you're all giving me a headache. Two different times lines are being shown. One in LA when the plane does land, 3 years ago. The second, 3 years later when those back in LA come back to the island. Other than that, there isn't enough info for me to speculate, yet. Now, go back to your ifs and buts and what nots. A lot of people must have done the same because now they proclaim loudly it is the LAST season of LOST. So I watched the first episode of the last season. Now we have LOST requlars in two places at one. Except Juliet. She had to die so she could be on "V." They brought her back so they could kill her? I don't know. We'll see if I hang up again. It's fun to jibber jabber about what may or may not be real or unreal on LOST. It's an insane show. It has its own internal logic, but none of us is privy to the workings of that internal logic. So from the outside, we are just guessing. That's all we can do. However, if you study the show over and over as I have, you can pick up an awful lot that isn't apparent on just one or two viewings. And that's what I love. This show is so deep and rich that it can be watched over and over. At least, I can watch it over and over. I hadn't realized that Kate took Jack's pen in the Flash Sideways, which is what ABC is calling the second time line in 2004 where the plane does not crash. Kate came out of the potty on the plane and bumped into Jack and while she smiled and smiled and Jack smiled and smiled, she was actually pickpocketing his pen, which she would use the airport potty to try to unlock her handcuffs. Took me a couple of viewings to catch that. That's just a tiny detail, but I like catching things that I hadn't discerned the first time. I have no guesses as to where this season is heading. Previously, I swore up and down that the volcano on which the Island sits was going to be play a big part in the final season. I suppose it still could, but I'm not so sure. However, what I've noticed in this show is that whatever the writers choose to highlight in previous episodes eventually comes into play. It may take years, but they usually do. And then again, some don't, like the tagged seagull to which Claire attached a poignant message in Season 3. The seagull may have landed somewhere, but now, with this whole new twist and double time lines and alternate realities, who the hell knows. The one on the island is at current time or 2007/2008 whenever Ajira 316 landed on the island. These people are the people who have gone through everything that we have seen this far on lost. Then we have the people on Oceanic 815 on the premiere and the plane doesnt crash. As far as we know that is still 2004 where the plane doesnt crash and these people as of now have no knowledge and recolection of the island. I think the question is are these timelines being shown parallel. As in if its 2007 on island is it at the same time its 2004 on the landing plane? Or is it 2007 in both timelines currently but we are just seeing the past of one timeline? Lostpedia says Ajira crashed in 2007 - doesnt specify a month oceanic 815 landed in LA in sept 2004 I wonder where Christians body is? Remeber how Jack found the empty coffin in the caves that presumable fell outa the plane? and it seemed he thought that was his dads coffin ... A lot of people must have done the same because now they proclaim loudly it is the LAST season of LOST. I know what you mean, I myself stopped watching midway through season 2 and picked back up halfway through season 3. They have said a lot that ABC seemed to want to just run the show on its corse and not give it any end date, and Darlton had to go in and negotiate an end date so they could finalize the end game in a way. It was when that announcement was made that I started watching again. On Juliet, I think her coming back just to die is why I think there is key info in what she says as shes dying. Also the actress has said she will still show up on lost eventually(no doubt the flash sideways) Actually on the name for flash sideways I still sort of dont agree with that name as its not really sideways as the two timelines are at different times. But I guess its a better name then any. :p Lost-The Final Season(spoilers most likely to follow) - Brian - 02-04-2010 Alright, two questions then. I'm still gathering info. ![]() First, where did Desmond disappear to? He was on the plane, then apparently not. Second, where did Christian, complete with coffin get to? |
