I really want to think I liked the denoument more than I do, but...I don't. It was just weak. I wasn't "mentally offended" by the true meaning of the "flash sideways" bits, and they could have worked pretty well - if they'd just spent more time with the story. They just tried to cram way too much into way too little. When one shoved a cake into a box, there's likely to be crumbs...and in this case, those crumbs were a host of mysteries and loose ends that were too great to be left vague or unexplored.

I guess the best way for me to put my reaction to the overall show was...I am terribly disappointed that I was somewhat disappointed. It had so much promise, and just sort of petered out on a weaksauce note.

For me I could tell that I wasn't going to be happy when I started watching Season 5. By then it was starting to lose the appeal it had in the first 4 Seasons.

And maybe I'm in the minority here, but frankly I didn't care about Richard's backstory or even Jacob's and the MiB. I think too much time was wasted there to "please the fans".

For me, I personally do not need everything "answered". I like being able to decide things for myself and accept that some things are just the way they are.

Overall, I enjoyed LOST, but will probably never watch it again. I'm glad the only versions I have are bootlegged copies of Seasons 1-3 that I bought while deployed.

I love LOST. I loved every minute of it. I've watched it over and over, and I will continue to watch it again when we get our big screen TV for Christmas.

The ending was OK by me. It left lots of mystery, still, and appealed to the more spiritual aspect of LOST which certainly existed throughout the show. There will always be debate and dissension about the ending. That's the way it is.

LOST was a helluva ride. I'd love to meet John Locke someday, and I do mean John Locke, though meeting Terry O'Quinn would be great fun, too. Big Grin
