Just now I watched Battlestar Galactica's 1st episode. If I could choose one word for it, it's....

What a awesome 3 hours! Apparently it's not like Star Trek or Star Wars. No dynamic music, no aliens. All spaceships are dark colors. But this is truly great sci-fi show. Now I understood why everybody's excitedly talking about this. I must continue to see, to the end! :thumbsup:

I have been, along with my wife, big fans of this show. Def. one of the best tv shows on the tube.
Here's a speculation-
The real power behind the Cylons must be The Guardians, as they formed the foundation of their society. Wonder if they will return?

I agree! The Best show on TV! I have all the DVD sets and all of season 4 on my DVR.

Well, I have watched a half of season 1, and so far my favorite episode was "You Can't Go Home Again".
When Starbuck returned with Cylon's ship, Apollo tried to shoot down her. But he noticed hand-writing's "STARBUCK" under the ship.
That was a fabulous moment! :thumbsup:

If you have not seen it yet check out "RAZOR". It has a direct bearing on this season and it introduced The Guardians.

My wife and I were discussing the current path of the show. I haven't seen this brought up in any other threads, here or on other forums, so I wanted to propose a theory.
Boomer and Helo had a baby boy... a hybrid cylon/human. Chief and Cally had a baby girl, also a cylon/human hybrid since it was revealed that Chief is a cylon.
The show has a lot of religious themes throughout so is it possible that these two hybrid children will be the Adam and Eve of the Christian mythos? Will they be the sole survivors of the humans and cylons?
If this has been discussed elsewhere then I apologize for going over it again.

Isn't that backwards? Helo and Boomer had a Girl (Hera) and the chief and Cally had a Boy (???) And that would not fit into the timeline of Christnity or Judism.

You're right on the babies. It is the other way around. But I don't get your comment on timelines. Care to elaborate?

Well technically Helo and Athena are the parents of Hera. Boomer is a different copy of the Sharon model - the one that shot Adama.
Also . . . I am not sure we know what the "earth timeline" is. If the assumption is the events on the show are taking place in 2008 earth time, then the babies don't fit into the earth Adam & Eve timeline.

I think that's what WGB was getting at but wanted clarification. But who knows the real timeline? It could be taking places tens of thousands of years in the past. I think that will be revealed in the finale.
