Sort of an "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" meets "Andromeda Strain". It does look a bit creepy.

I don't know where the idea came from that this website has something to do with the movie coming in 1-18-08, but everybody who is looking into it is convinced that it is related. [There is also the fact that one of the men in the official trailer is wearing a t-shirt with the SLUSHO logo on it.] I think it has something to do with domain registration as well. In this context the site apparently has something to do with the monster's origins.
As for me it seems that J.J. Abrams himself said at ComicCon; [I paraphrase] "We [I think he meant here-Americans] need a monster movie. I love Godzilla and King Kong." It is apparent by the comments, being said in reference to the 1-18-08 project that it is a monster movie, something new and seen by him as a monster uniquely "ours" {USA}
