- Good, no holds-barred flashback of Jack's revenge on those who killed his mother
- Overflowing, stacked shelves at Abe's. Must feel claustrophobic.
- FPW cameo, at least
- Some side-boob from Kolabati? Sure, why not? Wink

Scott Hajek Wrote:Why else would she want it shot on location? Maggers is very transparent on this one!!!Big Grin Big Grin But, can you blame her? I would love to be an extra in any movie. Part of "Road to Perdition" was shot in the town where I work. I found out too late that there was a call for extras....

Utterly and completely transparent! Big Grin

I think it would be BLAST to create a GU of whatever number around the filming of the RJ movie. For those of you who haven't yet met Tony, OMG, my imagination runs wild at the thought of Tony's hilarity added to the fun of watching the making of a movie and the general all 'round madness of a GU.

But, seriously, folks, RJ's work and life are so rooted in New York that to film elsewhere would be criminal.

That random moment where Jack and Ba cross paths. I think it was a drive by.

Or am I having another repressed false memory?

Splendid idea.

Sweetie and I would SO be there!!!!

How about some scenes of Jack and Vicky, gotta show Jack's more relaxed and silly side so people don't make him out to be just some gung-ho guy or something.

Definitely the Yuenling - though, I wouldn't want to promote that to the point where it changes (ie Rolling Rock)....

love the dog!!! A MUST!!! along with the various dirty ties....

vikki as a teen??? NO NO NO NO - please NO!

And bb members as extras? Love it! Would even schedule a trip back to the USA for that one!!! Smile

Definitely need the Lady with dog. Whenever I read The Tomb, the scene where Kolabhati sees the old woman and hopes she never gets that old, I always add "old woman with a dog"! Paul forgot the dog again!

The movie starts: Year 3, August..

At the start, I'd keep Jack's face hidden. We'd just see it as a distorted reflection in his computer monitor, a reflection in Julio's window. We finally see him full face when Kusum says: "You're Repairman Jack? You're not what I was expecting."

During the movie I'd do a couple of "where's Waldo" shots when Jack's walking along the street. The camera pulls back and we lose Jack - he just blends in.

The ending: Jack sits on the chair bleeding, the phone rings, fade to black. (Year 3, December.) Come back to see Alicia Clayton at the clinic beat and bedrazzled, told about missing toys. Someone comes in her office: "I heard about the toys being stolen. I know of someone who may be able to help". We see it's Gia. She tosses a card onto Alicia's desk. It falls facing the camera, and reads: http://www.repairmanjack.com.

I'm glad someone else wants to retain the original ambiguous ending. That is really one of my favorite things about the novel. It might even draw interest for a sequel.

I also like your idea about hiding Jack's face for a while. I proposed (a long time ago on this site) that it would be awesome to do the whole movie from a first person perspective or at least never showing Jack's face, but realize that Hollywood would never go for it because it doesn't allow them a star for the role and it makes filming very difficult.

Pauls' cameo appearance is almost a no-brainer: He's a regular at Julios.
