Lost-The Final Season(spoilers most likely to follow) - saynomore - 05-21-2010

If you attended the Q&A event, you should know that there are four endings to LOST, but only one will air on Sunday; however, if you watch Jimmy Kimmel right after, the other endings will be shown. A group of fans, including me, went to the Starbucks next door after the Q&A session and discussed the timeline theory at length. Then the laptops were lit up. I knew there were three timelines, but there is a fourth. Wow. We're getting together again on Sunday for the Six Hour Finale. You heard right. Six hours. Re-runs before, the finale after, and Kimmel wrapping things up. So we don't overdose on popcorn, we're each to bring some munchies like fruit finger foods. I can't tell you how much fun it was to hang with other fans of the show. Takes me back to The Fugitive finale, The MASH finale, The Mary Tyler Moore finale, where strangers came together and met at someone's home where there was a huge TV. Now we meet at a movie theater.

AC

P.S. Here's a gift for the timeline fans.

Well it's a good thing I have Monday off too. I wonder which ending will be the best? There are sooooo many factors.

I got an idea. How bout before the finale on sunday we all try to post maybe 5? questions that we feel just NEED to be answered for us to be happy. Not that we have to have five, but most of us probably have a hundred so lets limit it to about 5 major ones. I'll start.

1.MIB's name. I do not accept that he just was never given a name cause his mother didn't think of one.
2.Widmores desire for the island prior to his freighter blowing up and Jacob telling him to kill smokey.(I hope he's not dead, if he is and no answers regarding him i'll be really disapointed.)
3.A little more detail on what the island actually is. We've heard it's a cork and that on the island there is a light. But a little more please?
4.I NEED to know how Eloise has always known so much. I can understand her knowing some if not a lot from Faraday's notebook, but even in the sideways she has known so much. And she has seemed to always know that Desmond was special. Which brings me to the last one.
5.Desmond. He has always been special. Now we know about his resistance or whatever it is to electromagnatism. But is this due to the hatch exploding? Was he special before this?

Gah now that I have started I could really keep going. One thing I've wondered the past couple seasons is the connections of the characters. In the first two seasons it was a lot about finding out that people were connected in their flashbacks, was there ever a point to that? Ah well, well there is mine how bout everyone elses?

My big question that's bugging me is Who did Juliet shoot on the outrigger at the begining of Season 5? Every time I saw a group get on an outrigger since I keep expecting someone to get shot by a group that suddenly disappears.

One thing that really bothered me in the last episode was MiB and Ben. MiB tells Ben he can have the island if Ben kills some people for him. Ben agrees. Later MiB says he needs to get Desmond because Desmond is the failsafe that will destroy the island and MiB wants to use him to do so. And he tells this to the guy he just earlier said could have the island. Ben seems okay with this.

I didn't pay close enough attention. Who has the backpack of C4? Did Miles take it when he ran off, does Ben have it, or was it left at Ben's house?

I noticed that the pilot episode is on Saturday night? Is there going to be anything special during the episode? Enhanced version? Stuff before or after commercials? I'll probably watch it anyway.

I read that on the Season 6 DVDs there will be a 20 minute extra where all of the unanswered questions will be addressed.

Finally, I hope that ABC's genius idea of telling people to text in their Lost goodbyes so that they will be shown onair doesn't mean that they will popup or scroll along the bottom of the screen during the final episode. During the preshow or before or after commercials is fine but I don't want another V Countdown timer on the screen for the whole episode.

Yeah, that's the only one I really NEED answered tomorrow night. I have plenty of unanswered questions - like who kept the Dharma food drops going for twenty-some years after the Dharma purge? How'd they know where to find the island all the time? But I can let those go (until the DVDs come out) as long as the Eloise mystery is explained.

I think the point was to enforce the theme that each person's life touches so many others whether we're aware of it or not. You never know which stranger you encounter might end up being very important in your life later on.

See - there's another BIG clue that Ben has his own plan and he's pretty confident that it's going to work.

Agree!!!!!

Speaking of saying goodbye to Lost, this here is a MUST SEE video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iggE4ImYwyc! I loved it and I don't even like hip-hop. But they capture the feeling perfectly and it's got some funny moments and it made me a little teary-eyed. Just check it out. You'll see.

I've got our fish biscuits (aka goldfish crackers) and mangos for snacks during "The End". I probably better have some tissues handy as well. My waterworks have been priming since Tuesday for the end of this wonderful story.

That was a great find Webby...a good one for sure.

Now...my 5 questions. Most have been covered.

* MIB's name.....I don't accept he never had a name besides "your brother".

* The food drops for Darma, who kept them going?

* Who does Ben really work for? Himself or some other agency that supplies him with subs and anything else he needs whenever.

* What type of being was The Mother?

*** Most of all....why does Eloise know everything?

I have so many other questions. Lets see if they ever all get answered. Even if they're not...I'll be glued to the TV tonight...just like a whole host of others. LOST has been a great ride...a topic of conversation and speculation for 6 years. I'll miss it.

I dont want it to end Sad

Well anyways my hopes is that Eloise is the one throwing the ball that everyone is going to. Either that or she will be there and she will most likely be another pivotal role in getting what ever it is done. Sort of how everyone was taken to her to get back to the island. I think everyone is being taken to the ball to her for something.

Countdown!

5 and a half hours until THE END!

Over here in the UK we're getting a simultaneous broadcast with the US, which means getting up at 5am to watch it. I was kinda bummed out when I heard about the alternate endings, because it seemed like a bit of a cop out - but apparently they're just parody ones that the Jimmy Kimmel show has written and filmed with the cast.

I'm so excited but it's all tinged with sadness...I can't quite get my head around the concept of NO MORE LOST!?!!
