I saw Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer last night and was blown away. I did not see that ending coming. It reminded me of the ending to Night of the Living Dead the first time I saw it. So, I thought it would be a good idea to post some movies that have endings that you don't see coming and are great. My third pick for best ending would be The Sting. What are your picks?

TITANIC - no, just kidding.

1. FIGHT CLUB

2. SCHINDLERS LIST

3. SAVING PRIVATE RYAN

OK, Scott, I saw the Argentinian film, "Nine Queens."

It's a fun movie. I could not figure the scam within a scam within a scam within a scam. I keep looking for it and trying to stay one step ahead but, nope, couldn't do it.

Very enjoyable and very David Mamet. I want to watch it again.

I think the ending to Jaws has virtually every other film ending beat. Who can deny the profound depth of Roy Scheider and his incredible exploding shark?
"Smile, you son-of-a-bitch!"
Every film should end like that.

Other favorites:
Yojimbo
Seven Samurai
The Untouchables
The Godfather Part II
Army of Darkness
Rushmore
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The original, not the sloppy, over-stylized remake!
Reservoir Dogs

Catwoman. I remember being so thrilled when it ended.

I thought the ending was priceless; an elaborate, well-deserved sting revealed. Glad you liked it.

Scott, without giving anything away, did you figure it out? I surely did not.

Absolutely not.

It even surprised me the second time, and tell me RJ could have done it any better.
