Just giving you a different assessment . . . frankly, I don't care what you believe. Quote:Sorry, Ken. I forgot you were an expert on the beef industry as well. "Root" was probably not the best word for me to use. Fact is, the cattle are raised in an environment which is less healthy than it used to be. Therefore, the cattle are probably less healthy and pumped with antibiotics. I've worked in the beef industry . . . on a cattle ranch to be specific. The problem -- if one considers it to be a problem -- lies in trying to create enough food in an efficient enough way to feed the large populations of cities. Populations that create no food whatsoever. Quote:So now you are admitting that there are problems? If you consider an animals natural tendency to become motion-sick a problem, then yeah, it's a problem. If you consider medication to overcome this problem another problem then yes, it's a problem too. What alternative do you offer? Ken V. But, pasta (by itself) is not fattening as long as you don't put anything fattening like alfredo sauce on it. Personally I think you are better off going for whole wheat pasta than buying weird Atkins food. JMO... Hey thanks, Lisa. I am DEF NOT trying that silly Atkins thing (yep...I called it silly ). I am just trying to find healthier alternatives to some of my eating habits. For me, I am stuck sitting in a plane for hours on end (sometimes up to 14hours or more without landing) and what I bring to eat tends to stick to me more than it would normally (it's a constant battle between my stomach and the food I eat . Trust me, it is so tempting (and easy) to bring tons of junk food and sugar stuff. I will def try the wheat pasta. I would never have thought of that. Super Size Me - Kenji - 01-03-2005 At last, it was released in Japan. Today, I went to see this interesting documentary in theater. I thought it was a funny. At first, it cracked me up! But then, I felt it weird. Well, I don't eat at McD's three times a day...... Anyway, I don't want to eat fast food anymore. I quit it! (But I can't stop eating Pizza.) Vomit scene was disgusting. Eat the hamburger, and vomit? I've never seen that before. Ugh! Super Size Me - Bluesman Mike Lindner - 01-03-2005 Kenji Wrote:At last, it was released in Japan. I thought the subtext of the film went something like this: A)Tasty fast food is bad, B)Americans are stupid for eating it, C)Big corporations are evil for making the eats available, and D)=boy= am I gonna make a lot of money reinforcing the beliefs of those who agree with points A, B, and C. Would you like fries with that, Kenji?
