I still don't have it in my heart to remove the back spikes. They'll be my little artistic liberty. But the front ones were messing with the neck. How do you guys like what I did with it? Oh yeah, and some quick placement eyes for the time being. I always pictured rokoshi with a bit disproportunate legs. hmmmmmmm, any oither major proportion changes or do you think I should get into detailing? If you have it like you like it, start detailing. Rokosh 3D model-fan art - Fun498 - 07-27-2010 I'm looking at Adam's great Rokosh illustrations to get some more feel for a menacing head. Its getting a lot more scary. If I can get it creepy without even any teeth, I'll be happy. So far so good. Thanks Adam! Edit: A bit of progress. I'm getting pretty unsure whether to take aproach a or b here or take c or d there and stuff, so feel free to drop some advice or feelings on the model. Oh yeah, and I finally got the time to finish The Tomb last night after shutting down my laptop. Wow! My new favorite book. I'll leave this thread open a while because I would like comunity feedback so I can try to make a model of a rokosh that most of the comunity can agree on. Farther than just a 2d image, I want to attempt a fully 3d model that is more easily remodelled and molded as more people coice their opinions.Three digits on the hands, and three digits on the feet. And the head is described as being like that of a shark with a shorter snout and the eyes moved slightly forward. Ken V. Rokosh 3D model-fan art - Fun498 - 07-31-2010 I'm getting ready to start fine tuning some of the base mesh, converting it to the final high resolution, and detailing. Anybody have inspiration? Ideas for eyes, teeth, scratches, muscles and whatever else are welcome. I kinda have an idea of some of the things I'd like to do, but input from all of you is going to be really helpful. I'll probably pick up work Monday, so drop in your 2 cents and I'll try to get a plan together before I fire Max back up and get back to work. Rokosh 3D model-fan art - Tony H - 08-01-2010 Another talented forum member! Wow... Welcome to the board and the Rakosh looks awesome. I think the spikes on the neck are fine, nothing wrong with creative liberties. Rokosh 3D model-fan art - Fun498 - 08-05-2010 All those Shark Week commercials were gettiing to me. Did I hear someone wanted to see teeth? The scary factor is a bot challenging for me. I don't want a puppy or dolphin rokoshi(even though I do want that rokoshi stuffed animal.........) and so changing a few angles and the teeth have been working out a lot. Getting close to detailing time......... Rokosh 3D model-fan art - Bluesman Mike Lindner - 08-05-2010 Fun498 Wrote:All those Shark Week commercials were gettiing to me. Did I hear someone wanted to see teeth? Yes. Cruel, ripping choppers. Rokosh 3D model-fan art - Fun498 - 08-07-2010 I made the base muscling more natural so I can detail over them much easier. I also made the front view of the face much more sharklike (aka change on the X axis) I pushefd and pulled the teeth a little here or there individually instead of just leaving them painted-in. I just don't want to go to detailing and have a bad base mesh. Rokosh 3D model-fan art - leethebard - 08-16-2010 Looking good...starting to look like something I wouldn't want to meet up with!!!! Rokosh 3D model-fan art - Fun498 - 08-16-2010 Yeah..but it couldn't run with those short stubby tube legs and such a long body. And how could it breath with such a strange neck. Nevermind the mouth isn't quite scary enough yet. So yeah....I should have never tried to free-hand the legs. I used some reference and got a much more acurate structure. Almost time for detailing.....I know I've beens aying that, but I never got the model to where I'm happy with it. And now I think I'm getting there.
