If I remember correctly (it has been a while since my partner and I completed this puzzle) you need to spell the word H A A S. Hover your mouse cursor over the star in the sky furthest to the right to make the phrase 'Ethan Haas Was Right' turn into an alphabet. Simply look to see which symbols correspond to which letter and then arrange the symbols on the cogs.

JJ Abrhams himself has said the Ethan Hass sites are unrelated. they are supposedly for a game coming out called Alpha Omega.
at http://www.aintitcool.com/node/33261 is a letter from JJ abrhams that states "For what it's worth, the only site of ours that people have even FOUND is the 1-18-08.com site. The others (like the Ethan Haas sites) have nothing to do with us"
the game looks pretty cool though.

I read this as well, though I also read elsewhere that JJ Abrams also disavowed any knowledge of certain websites that were a part of the Lost ARG when it was running, in a bid to put people off.
Even if the Ethan Haas site has nothing to do with 1-18-08, it was still a devilishly tricky lil puzzle!

I think the biggest thing I have going aginst the ethan hass sites being related is this. What is the link? what clues from the trailer or the 1-18-08 site lead to ethan hass?
the Slusho site looks promising though, cannot find any more clues there. good story though.

use the arrow keys on your keyboard to steer the balls.

I was having a brain spazz until I realised I was steering the blue one, and the green ones were slaves to it. You have to make the green balls land on the balck tiles. Very tricky! Word of advice: if you don't get it withing 20 or so moves, press F5 to refresh the page. If you scramble the bals too much you'll be there for hours trying to do it!
