Let the Filming Begin - KRW - 10-20-2005

Marc B. Wrote:Well, it's Thursday morning and I'm back in Chicago. Everyone did an amazing job. I just need to sleep a few days now. We have one final scene to shoot but that will be in here in Chicago.

I will be working on behind the scenes stills for the website this weekend but until then here two of my favorites.

I really like #1. It gives off an eerie feeling.

Definitely God's country up there. Even when the fish aren't biting.

Welcome back, Marc! I'm really proud of you and Dave, our terrific film makers. I saw those 2 pics. Looks good! Fog on the lake....I feel something happen. Big Grin

Looks good, Marc. What does the rest of the schedule look like for editing, etc?

Well, during the first few days of shooting I managed to edit the opening sequence together which is around 6 minutes. I will start logging and capturing the footage this week and, hopefully, editing. We still have one sequence left to shoot which is tentatively scheduled for November 6 and a few little pickup shots. I will have at least a rough edit done by the end of December but I'm hoping to be farther along than that. I want to get the final edit in the hands of my sound editor by the end of January so we can have a completed film by the end of March. At that point we'll start making the rounds to festivals.

I'm also hoping to have a teaser put together by the end of November (maybe sooner) but it all depends on how the main edit goes. I'll announce anything big hear so those interested can check it out.

Great pics, Marcus, especially the ones of you and Day-ve. I have to tell you, though, that you seem to be sporting some sort of strange growth around your face and mouth! I hope it's nothing serious.

Looks great, Marc. I'm way impressed and can't wait to see the final product.

How do the Zombies walk? The lumbering George Romero style, or the new, ultra fast paced way. For me, a zombie should be slow and clumsy. It wouldn't be as scary in real-life (zombies in real life?), but it's just the way they're supposed to be, I think.
