I was also thinking (and this might just be a personal choice here) that Emily Watson (Equilibrium & Red Dragon among others) might be a good choice for Gia. Just cut her hair short and dye it blonde. She's got a very down-to-earth beauty and a great acting range. Just my 2 cents worth.

I like Emily Watson, but to me she's weird looking. Kind of like a cross between a human and an elf or something.
