LOST Season 5 *Spoiler Edition* - cobalt - 04-15-2009

Anyone else think it was spooky when the hatch was getting it's numbers hammered onto it while Hurley watched?

Now that Faraday is back...wanna bet there will be some more time travel conundrums to give us headaches?

LOST Season 5 *Spoiler Edition* - colburn0004 - 04-16-2009

Wow loved the reveal of Faraday. But it was also very confusing. What happened to him in the first place? Why was he in an harbor? Is this the only Faraday on the island?

Also whats up with the next episode? they call it a special and that its the O6 from a different perspective? My guess its a semi re-run with a little new footage.

Brian Wrote:Whack-a-mole? That game in an arcade where a kid hits the pop up hippo with a mallet. If that's what you mean. How does that have anything to do with Cerberus/ the smoke monster?

Surely you'd be whacking a mole?

The stone vent that the smoke monster came out of in the temple looked like a Whack-a-mole game.

I also suspect that Locke is the smoke monster. Dead is dead, and Locke and the Smoke Monster were doing a Clark Kent/Superman routine that entire episode.

And how would Locke know where the Temple was anyway?

I didnt think there was any indication that there were more than one Faraday on the island.

I guess when Sawyer was made Head of Security Faraday was made some sort of Dharma scientist, and has been conducting research or something off Island since before Jack, Kate and Hurley came back.

This is just the first time we're seeing him since Jack et al came to Dharma-time.

I havent heard anything about the next episode, what do you mean it's 06? Do you mean it's the episode 316 but from a different perspective? It's not like Lost to do a clip show, is it?

LOST Season 5 *Spoiler Edition* - Alvin Fox - 04-16-2009

Next week is like a clip show/ catch up episode. ABC wants everyone to have a break before running into the final 4 episodes of the season.

Faraday. Possibly when Sawyer, Juliet, Jin, Miles and him were given the choice by Horace he went off island to get some things done while everyone else stayed. Faraday then became a scientist needed on the island and got recruited.

Or what Bones said.

But the season opener with the x-ray reveal of the wheel in the rock with Daniel as a worker in the background. I still think that that as yet to happen. It's very close though.

And what is in the shadow of the statue? Is this a third group that got on flight 316 to get to the island? If that woman was an Other she would have recognized Ben, right?

LOST Season 5 *Spoiler Edition* - colburn0004 - 04-16-2009

I didn't really mean there are 2 Faraday's on the island I was just sort of brain storming all the different crazy possibilities. I think Faraday has known more than he has let on all along sort of. It's been shown he doesn't really like telling the info he knows freely. The only thing I was confused was didn't charlotte say that she had seen Faraday as a crazy man telling her not to come back to the island? I was sort of givin the impression that he was made a little crazy from her death and then seeing her as a child. Most likely he did leave and then come back but how Candle/Chang said he was a schientist from an harbor and all it made it seem like he was a fresh recruit and not someone returning. I also think that Christian and Locke both maybe smokie. It'd make it interesting. Plus the smoke couldnt tell Ben himself to listen to locke/smokie so smokie changed to his daughter and told him to. It'd be interesting.

Chang, Mile's father, said that Farraday (whom hadn't yet been identifed as Farraday) was a SCIENTIST FROM ANN ARBOR, which is a reference to the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, where there are many famous scientists as it is a reknowned university. What I understood from "he's a scientist from Ann Arbor," is that Farraday was a colleague, a collaborator, not necessarily a recruit. That's just my understanding of it.

I like your thought that Christian and Locke may be manifestations of the smoke monster. Although it seems the bodies of Christian and Locke have not been found, so what does that mean...that the smoke monster re-animates them? Interesting thought.

Also, Ann Arbor is closely tied to the Dharma Initiative as the founders were from the University of Michigan and Radzinsky recently threatened to call Ann Arbor over whether to deep six Sayid. Although I don't know if it's been explicitly said, it seems like that may be the Dharma "headquarters" at this time.

Ooohh, thanks for that! It's information that I hadn't remembered.

LOST Season 5 *Spoiler Edition* - Brian - 04-16-2009

Same here. I didn't remember that Dharma was headquartered in Michigan.

Now that Faraday is back on the island, I can see him involved in the building of the hatch station and the Orchid.

I want to know what lies in the shadow of the statue. I'm thinking it's an entrance to a station or chamber that will prove very important to time travel.
