In the words of Bruce Campbell "Good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun."

New Picture of Sam Worthington, pre-roids, from Avatar.

He looks like he's 25 and trying to be Patrick Swayze from Point Break, but there is Jack potential there.

I still say he would be a great Jack.

I love Jeffrey Donovan and Burn Notice! I saw his name on the first post and had to put in my .02 Smile Sooo, while I like Donovan a lot, I can't quite see him as Jack (perhaps his face is a bit sharp and distinguishing). Admittedly, I've lurked a lot and have read a lot of the posts on this matter...

Ryan Reynolds - surprised me a bit but I'll go with it
Edward Norton - respect him, but...no *g*
Sam Worthington - now, he did catch my eye until I saw the pic of him in Terminator. He looks too action-hero for me. I mean, Jack is an action hero, yes, but I perceive him to be more wiry in frame and unsuspecting.

All this talk about age...the first guy that popped into my mind, I already knew was a no-go since he was well beyond Jack's years. LOL. But I always thought he played a combo of deadly action man, family man, and funny man really well and that is Richard Dean Anderson. Oh well.

Harrison Ford would need to pack on some pounds to play Abe.
David Schwimmer................................................No.

I too picture actors in the roles of the books I read, but I wait until I get all their features in there first for a reason. Example: in the book Once A Thief by Kay Hooper, I first pictured the cat-burglar Quinn as being blond and fair, well later in the book it reveals he is in fact dark haried and tan. Thoroughly threw off all my character specs. So now I wait before I picture, cause now I have him permanently blond in my head when he shouldn't be.

That was a huge joke the whole 6 days 7 nights thing. Besides, before Kate came in I pictured Anne Heche as Gia. Maybe I got a thing for Anne Heche? Heck maybe I got a thing for Schwimmer.

Anywho, Yeah I pick usually actors I enjoy. I always try to squeeze Daniel Day Lewis into a book and for me, he has always been Rasalom even when Daniel Day Lewis battled me on a castle keep. Yes I am revealing my true identity. I am Glaeken..... or maybe David Schwimmer is Glaeken?

What my point is is I like my favorite actors to be my favorite characters in novels. Bruce Willis from the original Die Hard is Jack, John Candy is Abe, Daniel Day Lewis is Ms Aralo, Charlize Theron is Gia and Bobcat Goldthwait is Gia's aunt. Did I mention Gilbert Godfried as Sandy Palmer?

I know, I know. I am a genius but please keep the kudos to a minimum.

I'm going to ignore everything that was just posted and instead visualize a great big brain fart in it's place. So let me sum up the previous post in one glorious word:

-pfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffftttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt-

Hot, but with a certain maturity that befits Gia's motherly role. Smile

I just made the mistake of watching the above YouTube clip...

HEY! Charlize Theron is an INSPIRED choice for Gia!

And, without the already receding hairline, a 35 year old Bruce Willis would have been a fine Jack.

...But, despite the fact that John Candy is one of my all-time favourite comedy actors...meh to the rest.

You have not yet acclimatized to our Bones' warped sense of humour. Or maybe you have...now.

Heh.
