Did he even hit him on the head? Looked like he got him on the side of the face. Desmond has now surpassed Mikhael as the biggest wimp on the island.

CC, that's hilarious. I can't blame Desmond for being a wimp, though. That credit has to go to the writers for that scene.

"I prefer repeated whackings." That's quintessional ccosborne3, stated as if you were comparing cups of tea.

Okay....they're not dead.
The island isn't purgatory.
It might not all be a Hurley fantasy......Big Grin
An alternate time line/reality/universe....from the special magnetism of the island? Neat idea.
Patricide issues abound.
And I agree....Locke and Ben as the forces of "good and bad" fighting it out.
The black cloud explanation should prove interesting. One thing for certain....I'm hooked.

I think the story starts to pick up speed a little, though it still runs a little slow. The next three seasons, since they are shorter, should move the plot along in a more orderly fashion.

Good episode. Have to feel for poor old Charlie. But here's the thing: obviously we didn't see Desmond's flash of Charlie's impending doom, and we know that the Looking Glass is supposed to be flooded, but it wasn't. Does this already mean that Charlie hasn't done exactly as Desmond's flash saw him do, and, as such, won't die because things didn't play out the way they were supposed to? And why was Desmond suddenly so keen to go down there? Was it just a last minute case of 'do the decent thing' or did his flash tell him something else? Hey, maybe he saw the two gun-wiedling women down there and wanted to... ahem... do the decent thing for them too.Wink
And then there was Charlie's DS ring. I know this is the father coming out in me, but the first thing I thought when I saw that ring in Aaron's cot was how dangerous it could be if the little fella was to put it in his mouth....
Still, parenting quibbles aside, that was another good episode. Nice to see Jack getting angry again and even nicer to see Ben less of his usual cock-sure self. Things are looking good for next week's finale.

Clearly you're a man of discerning taste. Wink

That's droll, pal Kenji. What's the word in Japanese? (I ask because I've never really understood the concept of "droll" in =English=, saints blast me! )

And another thing. If and when Locke survives and comes back, how pissed off is he going to be when he realises someone else has been entrusted with pushing a button and elsewhere, a hundred-weight of dynamite is getting blown up? Two of his all-time favourite things in the hands of someone else!Big Grin
