order the books should be read - Barry Lee Dejasu - 12-30-2004 maigen_obx Wrote:Hi, I'm very new here. I was wondering if someone would tell me what order the books should be read or direct me to the proper thread? Thank very much.Read the books in whatever order everyone says (it seems to be always torn between published-date order and "this one, then this one, then that one, then this one..."), but whatever you do, read Nightworld last. Ask me and the one or two other people on this board who agrees that it's the best way: order the books should be read - Ken Valentine - 12-30-2004 Barry Lee Dejasu Wrote:Read the books in whatever order everyone says (it seems to be always torn between published-date order and "this one, then this one, then that one, then this one..."), but whatever you do, read Nightworld last. Ask me and the one or two other people on this board who agrees that it's the best way: 'Bout the only difference between published and chronological order is that in chronological order, REBORN would come second instead of fourth, as it is in published order. Yes, there is a logical progression of events from book to book. But they all simply ROCK and are worth reading again and again. So, for those starting out, just pick up whatever tickles your fancy. Dig in and enjoy. Then go for the next in whatever order you'd like. Because I know you will go back for seconds and thirds on the wonderful smorgasbord of Wilson. order the books should be read - Biggles - 01-25-2005 Maggers Wrote:My feeling about FPW's books, all of them, is that they are so darned fantastic that the order in which you read isn't going to affect you that much. I've been trying for decades to get someone to tickle it--but I can't find it, dammit! order the books should be read - JazzHands - 02-09-2005 So there I was, being a good little newbie and reading past threads. I had wanted to ask this question myself, someone beat me to it. I have a lot of reading to do, my internet time will suffer, but I will be exploring this site in depth in the coming days. order the books should be read - JazzHands - 02-25-2005 JazzHands Wrote:So there I was, being a good little newbie and reading past threads. I've finished The Keep, and am now into the first couple chapters of Reborn. I enjoyed the heck out of reading The Keep, I had it with me constantly, desperately reading a few paragraphs at stoplights and on my breaks at work. So I'd say I am hooked. I love being this new to a writer's works, there are several FPW books ahead of me. It'll take a bit of time, but I'll get through them. order the books should be read - Maggers - 02-25-2005 JazzHands Wrote:I've finished The Keep, and am now into the first couple chapters of Reborn. Fasten your seatbelt, sit back and enjoy the ride! FPW rocks! order the books should be read - Lisa - 02-25-2005 Glad to see you around, Kris. And glad you're enjoying FPW's work! Lisa order the books should be read - lcdexter - 03-02-2005 Thank you for asking that question. I too am new to F. Paul Wilson's books. I was wondering as I entered this forum if there was an order to all the books. I have read "Midnight Mass", "Conspiracies", and now "Legacies." So far I have enjoyed them. I look forward to reading as many as I can of all that Mr. Wilson has written. Does anyone know where the word "Rakoshi" comes from and what does it mean?? I had never seen that word before. Thanks.
