And they are launching a new HBO-Go thing that allows you to watch anything on HBO like the streaming Netflix stuff, if you are a subscriber. So I am sure it was to bring in new subscirbers. I won't be on of them either though.
HBO Go thing? That would be great. We definitely use Netflix. Where did you hear about it? On the Netflix website? I'll have to check it out.

It launches May 1st and is free to HBO subscribers. I don't know what it will cost for non-subscribers or if you can just select certain things to watch for a price. Will have to look into it as there are a shows (like GOT) that I would like to keep up on without having to pay for HBO.

A Game of Thrones - Anemone of the State - 04-18-2011

I liked it. I have no idea about the world (have never read the books), so everything was new. Good acting, very good sets & costumes, and an interesting world.

So far, I like the dwarf.

If you liked him from the little they showed of him in the premiere you would love him in the books. It looked to me like they kind of dumbed him down a little for the show but that could just be from the first episode. Tyrion the Imp.

It was on 3 different channels tonight all at the same time. Talk about hyping this one up.

A Game of Thrones - Tall Tyrion - 04-19-2011

I missed it last night through a series of unfortunate events, but caught it tonight. Call me a fanboy and I won't object, but I thought it was awesome! Just as I pictured it.

A Game of Thrones - Scott Miller - 04-19-2011

So I rewatched it last night and it was obvious I had nodded off a couple of times during my previous viewing so it made a lot more sense this time around. I still wasn't blown away but am intrigued enough to keep watching for the time being.

And maybe you said it elsewhere, but I'm just now getting your screen name; so you're just a taller version?

A Game of Thrones - Bluesman Mike Lindner - 04-19-2011

Has anyone read Martin's THE ARMAGEDDON RAG? It's the best rock'n'roll novel I've ever read. (Not that there's a whole lot of quality competition...Sad)

I have, It was pretty good. Different. I preferred Fevre Dream.

GOT was OK. Should have been a two hour premier. Hard to introduce that many characters in that short a time span.
