Looks like Mike Rowe, Barack Obama, and I all have something
in common.

It's fate!

Mike :p

Too James Bond, and too capable of standing out. One of Jack's defenses is not being remembered unless he actually makes a point to stand out. or in one of the stories, gets driven to standing out when his only other option was to let people die.

True. I should have said in my head he looks like Mike Rowe, but younger. I'm not sure RR has the quite confidence the RJ in my head has - guess I'll have to wait and see.

If he wasn't so old, Rowe would be good.

Actually, the following picture kinda makes me think Reynolds could indeed pull off the role of Jack. Something about the pose and the colors always make me think of the Jack image from the covers.

While the shape of his head is still a little off for my tastes, the rest of him in that outfit screams Jack in my brain.

Brian Wrote:I envision Jack as a medium build muscular male. 5'10", about 190lbs with medium brown hair. Clean shaved, his features average and hooded by a baseball cap. That's the image that I have gotten. But, when one reads, we form our own Jack in the mind. What I see, others may not.
Me too. But seeing as I'm 5'10", 190lbs maybe I'm biased. Smile

Oh, as to the picture, Jack wouldn't hold a gun that way. Worst way to hold a gun ever invented. It was done for movies/TV so the camera could get a closeup of the actor's face and the gun in the same frame. Unfortunately too many cops these days have grown up watching that crap and think it's the way to operate.

:yesnod: yeah, keeping the gun away from our face and head, one of our first lessons. "This ain't cowboys and indians assholes!" I loved that guy! Big Grin

Here is a picture of Jack playing with Herta's new puppy!
(Hey, even tough, street-wise mercenaries like RJ need a little time to distress once in awhile...)
