Yes, but the question is which team-ups would I like to see, not which makes the most sense. Wouldn't it be great to see Serge's psychotic 'projects' in contrast to Jack's oDNA? Interesting dichotomy, no? Unlikely RJ Team-Ups you'd like to see - mad4tunes - 07-09-2008 NickelobLight Wrote:Well played! Come to think of it, Jack would probably get along famously with Coleman. Still am surprised nobody but meself has ever mentioned Andrew Vachss' "Burke." They both operate in NYC, both are "outlaws", and both set bad situations to right. But maybe... Jack's down! I'll help him! Just lemme t'ink... Shaddup! When =you= think, you put the whole country in jeopardy! But who' dis guy? Sailorman with tattoos? Hang on, Jack! Olive, hold me coat. Where's me spinach? Coleman is 10,000 times cooler than Lenny. And Lenny is awesome! I love when Serge & Coleman decide to fill their stomachs with liquid and run in circles to hear it slosh, (In Hurricane Punch I think). Except Coleman filled his stomach up with beer instead of water & threw up all over the place. Awesome. Best line ever? Torpedo Juice. When Serge & Coleman walk are in the grocery store. Serge: "What did I tell you about the homophobia?" Coleman: "No, I like lesbians." Serge: "I've seen your video collections." Tim Dorsey is great. He's like taking Carl Hiassen, Dave Barry, and shoving them in a blender with a bunch of absinthe. Good books. Unlikely RJ Team-Ups you'd like to see - mad4tunes - 07-12-2008 Yeah, Tim Dorsey is pretty good...he reminds a lot of Ross Thomas, with some pretty manic overtones. However, with Carl Hiaasen's novels, there are lots of characters I'd like to meet....but I don't think I'd want to hang out with Serge and Coleman. |
