I'm not surprised you would use "FBI" as an example of what's acceptable!
Not 100% sure, but FD1 stands for "Final Destination" 1. I also think there was a porno that had FD in the title that included a bus( I'll leave that to your imagination), but I was to busy playing poker in the kitchen to pay attention.

So, we're getting the flashbacks from the "others'" point of view now, eh?
Did everyone watch the summary episode with the producers prior to the new episode. It was more for regular watchers than for new viewers who wish to catch-up with the storyline. I was particularly curious when the producers mentioned that they like to have cameos of other characters appear in the flashback scenes. That would mean to me that these appearances have no plot significance, just more pepper on the eggs, so to speak.
Maybe many of the scenes where we seek significance are just pepper.
Nah. That would mean that our legs are being pulled. Just hope they don't cry wolf once too often.

P.S. Anyone who is watching Prison Break is probably going through the same "Lost" routine: Three new questions for every one answered. But as long as the questions are interesting and worth answering, I'll stick around.
P.P.S. The producers did finally refer to the creature on the big island as a "monster," so we do know now it is an entity, not (hopefully) something like the creature from Forbidden Planet.

Yeah, but are there more than one? In one of the past episodes Locke claimed that the thing he saw was not the black smoke thing. I think I may have to rewatch the series, things are getting fuzzy.

One of the best things about Lost is that it's beautiful to watch in HD. it looks better than most movies playing in the cinemaplexes. You're really missing out on the experience (experience might be a little strong but I cant come up with a better word) if you're not watching in High Definition. Time to head down to the midtown BestBuy, Maggers.

Locke did look into the "eyes of the Island," as I think he said, and he thought it was beautiful. That was when he was hunting boar in the first season. We didn't see what he was looking at. It wasn't shown; it may or may not have been the smoke. Either way, he wasn't afraid and it didn't do anything to him, that we know of.
But his second encounter with "the monster" or whatever it is, was in the form of the black smoke, and it wasn't so pleasant. The group had retrieved the dynamite from the Black Rock. Locke saw the black smoke grab his ankles and drag him through the forest and into the hole in the ground. If Jack and Kate weren't there to throw the dynamite down the hole and hold onto him while doing so, Locke would have been dragged into the hole, wherever it went, by the black smoke.
So I'd be surprised if Locke actually said that he didn't see the smoke thing.

24 episodes a season. They're up to 55 episodes. The HBO shows get a big break having 12 episode seasons. These hour long dramas on network tv have an awful lot of material they have to come up with. No wonder they had to take a long hiatus with Lost.
