Well I missed it. Duh. But.... wasn't Heinlein referencing Doyle when he used the name "Mycroft"? I sure thought so. I thought it was one heck of an amusing reference given the context.

The computer was a High Optional Logic Multi Evaluating Series-4 -- a HOLMES IV. (Or something very close to that.)
Manny referred to it as a Dinkum-Thinkum, and gave it the nickname Mike, as Mycroft Holmes was Sherlocks brother.
MYCROFTXXX was the phone number Manny used to contact "Mike" the computer.
Phone numbers in Luna had ten digits, hence the "XXX."
"Prof's" contact number was MYSTERIOUS.
Wyo's number was MYCHELLEYY.
