It's probably the RJ thing. Although it was an awesome book, I think, initially I was expecting something a little more ominous. So I drew ominous conclusions from that book flap.

It's hard to sell a book that isn't on the bookstore shelves. There's not a bookstore in my county (population 400,000) that carries _Fifth Harmonic_.
I had a similar problem with _Gateways_. I found only one bookstore that carried it, and they only had one copy, hidden away in a section of the bookstore where no horror or fantasy fan would ever think to look.

It is hard for me to find fpw's books also. What is the best way to remedy this, paul? Just by buying your books or requesting that they carry them or talking to the manager? I own many of your books already, so I would feel kind of weird asking them to put them in their stock and then not buying them. I just want other people to find them.

I think it's all alphabetical. King and Koontz are in the middle of the alphabet and appear more favorably on shelves in the "horror" section at book stores. Note that even they used pseudonyms in the early part of the alphabet: King was "Bachman"; Koontz was "Dwyer", "Axton", Coffey, etc., (but also "Nichols", "West" and "Wolfe"). Paul's books are invariably on the bottom shelf. To find them, I have to back up until my kiester bumps into the opposite stack, then tilt my head to the side and down. It's (literally) a pain in the neck. Maybe Colin Andrews needs to make a comeback.

I just wish it wasnt so hard to find books like this one. Stupid Barnes and Nobles in my area doesnt even carry any of the mans books. It really pisses me off. I have spent my life savings on ebay tryin to find everything he has written.
I am just scared what i am going to do when i run out of FPW books.

Don't do anything rash! We can be your support group. There are many things that can help you recover from FPW addiction: alcohol, illicit drugs, wanton sex with complete strangers, and gratuitous violence, just to name a few.

You guys should think yourselves lucky that you aren't from Sunny England, where FPW simply doesn't exist. The only place to find his books over here is on the internet. :mad:
