I'm sure that I have read worse stuff, but somehow, I think knowing that this actually happened will make it harder. I don't know: maybe I'll forget by the time I get to GATEWAYS (still planning on reading the Adversary Cycle and RJ books in chronological order one right after the others as soon as I finish some other books I've had stacked up for awhile). You know, I've been thinking about sitting down and establishing a cronological order based on comments in the books. I can forsee some semantic problems, so it will probably end up being two chronological orders. For example, when some people say "last summer", they mean the summer that passed earlier "this" year. When I say last summer, I'm referring to the summer of LAST year. This summer is the summer of THIS year, and next summer is the summer of NEXT year. In Night World, the sun rose late on May 17, XXXX. Reprisal ended about four months earlier. In All The Rage, Jack comes across the name of Dr. A. Bulmer, who is practicing medicine at the time. Which places All The Rage before The Touch. In a Reprisal flashback, a derelict asks Will Ryerson, "Are you the one?" So we know that the Dat-Tay-Vao is searching. There are little clues like this throughout all the books. It ought to be fun putting them all together. Ken V. I don't remember so much of this stuff. So much to read, so little time, such a slow reader. *sigh* **SPOILER ALERT** I forget - who did the Dat-Tay-Vao end up with in Nightworld? At the end of THE TOUCH the Dat-Tay-Vao moved to Sylvia's little autistic son Jeffy, where it remained until it transferred back into the sword at the end of Night World. Ken V.
