Favorite Christmas Movies - mike36799 - 12-04-2005 For those that havn't seen Polar Express it came out on dvd not too long ago I think. I really liked it, but it was a little boring at times. It is definitly a nice Christmas movie to enjoy with the family. That being said, I am more of a comedy Christmas sort of guy, and see every year Christmas Story. That is my only REAL tradition. I would like to extend Chevvy Chase's in the lineup with Christmas Vacation, because you guys are right it's a hallarious film. One of my favorites is him sledding on that metal saucer, or that squirrel inside the Christmas tree! I seldom hate movies, but this is one that I do. I'm a Billy Bob fan, too. Tsk Tsk... Quote:March of the Wooden Soldiers: How could you not put this great Laurel and Hardy movie on the Christmas movie list?Absolutely agree on this one. It's fabulous and carries such wonderful memories for me. One of my favorites is him sledding on that metal saucer, or that squirrel inside the Christmas tree! Squirrel! Oh, that was funny scene! Also my favorite favorite scene was gaudy Christmas lights display on Griswold's house. It was only about 10 years ago that I finally saw it & found out why it was always played at Christmas. Some of my favourite Christmas movies are; The Muppet Christmas Carol It's A Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie - the Muppet version of It's a Wonderful Life crossed with Moulin Rouge Love Actually Miracle On 34th Street - all versions Die Hard Favorite Christmas Movies - Noelie - 12-04-2005 fpw Wrote:Gotta say I've never liked It's a Wonderful Life. Just seems to try too hard. No whimsy. Give me Miracle on 34th Street or A Christmas Story any day over that. I concur. I also should add to my list: Blackadder's Christmas Carol. Favorite Christmas Movies - neotank - 12-04-2005 It's a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Story are my two favorites by FAR! A christmas story has more classic one liners then prolly any movie ever. There's maybe six or seven movies that I know every line by heart (Ghostbusters, Goonies, Back to the Future) and a Chrismas Story is one of them. Also I'm from Cleveland Ohio, and that's where all the outdoor city scenes were filmed. It's a wonderful life is probrably the best feel good movie ever. Jimmy Stewert is just a woderful actor and was perfect in that role. A miracle on thirty fourth street I liked a lot when I was little, but now it seems a little long and slow paced. Still good though. Favorite Christmas Movies - mike36799 - 12-04-2005 neotank Wrote:It's a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Story are my two favorites by FAR! Goonies... did someone say Goonies? Favorite movie of mine. I didn't know Christmas Story was filmed outdoors in Cleveland. That's a neat little trivia question. Sounds fantastic. Two of my favourite movies, done by the Muppets. Wonderful Life, followed closely by Die Hard. They're my faves at Christmas.
