Was that the one where he put the gun in the shark's face underwater? I remember liking that one as a kid, but that was Hella-long ago. I don't remember much else about it.

Speaking of Steve Martin, I like "The Out of Towners". It was better than original. Steve Martin and Goldie Hawn, they are always terrific......but John Cleese as hotel owner was more hilarious! Big Grin

Years ago I read Cruel Shoes and I would love to read it again as I think I was too young to appreciate it at the time. I enjoyed Shopgirl, not great, but worth the read. I am picking up Pure Drivel and The Pleasure of My Company this afternoon from the library.

I've recently unloaded about 10 huge shopping bags of books. Gave 'em to Ronald McDonald House. But I couldn't part with "Pure Drivel."

Needless to say, none of FPW's books will ever leave my bookcase, except to loan extras to friends who never seem to want to return them. Big Grin

Another vote for Planes, Trains and Automobiles as the best Candy movie. We watch it every Thanksgiving.

As do I! I also watch National Lampoons Christmas Vaction in December and Twister in April. I don't care how cheesy any of these movies are, they are a staple of my yearly viewing. I also read "The Tomb" every July".

Some traditions are pricless! Wink

I watch about 20 versions of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow every October. To me, The Headless Horseman is Halloween.
