Yeah, that last episode felt like a season ending cliffhanger. I think it's going to be too late for Vorenus even if he does get his kids back. After only three episodes a couple years worth of time has elapsed. Is this the last season? Might be the way they're rushing through the storylines.

I'm visiting my friends in Westport, CT, and Bob insisted I watch ROME. What a fine show! Once in awhile I pull a book from my Ancients' shelf, and review Tacitus for history, Ovid for poetry, and Petronius Arbiter for laffs. I find it reassuring, somehow, that in this shifting world the one immutable is human nature.

I think you may be right about Vorenus. What's he going to do with Naoibe's little boy, and his daughter who lied to him as much as her mother. In fact, the whole family was in on Naiobe's secret. How will he react to them, knowing they knew? He's got so much guilt about Naiobe, then add in Caesar, geez, how can he possibly get himself together again? Vorenus holds himself to such a high standard, and he's sunk so low, I don't know how he can forgive himself.
The previews for the next episode looked wicked, especially for Servilia.

I'm watching the 2/11/07 episode of ROME again. God, another great eposide. What a superlative series. It's so rich.
I love when the principles hug one another tightly and the camera focuses on their eyes. Oh, those eyes, they never say what the hug says.
And, oh, the battles to come!

I'm not going to be able to see last nights episode until I get back from PQ. I have a poor internet connection and the Slingbox keeps breaking up. Rome and Lost are really kind of soap opera-ish in that I really want to know what happened and am a little annoyed that I cant actually watch them.

How classy was Cicero as he met his end? That was a great scene - Cicero makes his peace while Pullo picks peaches for the picnic. If I had to be murdered by anyone, I'd want it to be Pullo, who was so damn polite and so very effective.
And for Brutus' end to echo Caesar's end was so fitting. It may or may not be historically accurate but it made for great cinematic drama.
Again I say, what a show!

Yeah, it's been great this year. Even better than last season. They pulled out all the stops for that last episode with the war.
If I was being executed I'd prefer a quick beheading. Cicero's death looked quite painful to me.:eek:

Did I read the coming attractions correctly? Is the next episode the SERIES finale? Is the series going to end after only two fabulous years? Booooo Hooooo!
I guess the real drama ends with the deaths of Caesar, Marc Anthony and Cleopatra. Octavian goes on to become Caesar Augustus. He brings a hard won peace to his empire and lives for a long time. Not so exciting as the life and times of Caesar et al.
Will Pullo and Vorenas fight one another and die in each other's arms?
