I thought it odd that no one else had commented, but none of my searches of the forum linked to the thread you gave me. Thank you. Please don't think I didn't enjoy the story, because I did, as I have every other FPW story I ever read, not just those featuring RJ. I'm just one of those folks who notice and remember details, kinda like being the one person who hears the one discordant note in an entire symphony. I missed the "brassiere/brasserie" typo, probably because I've never voluntarily stuck around anywhere where an eating establishment found it necessary to be pretentious enough to use that particular title. Amazon Jack - Rakosh wrangler - 02-12-2006 I enjoyed "The Long Way Home" as well. It's always one of those fears you have for Jack in the back of your mind (as he always does as well). I was hooked because I never thought he'd get arrested, then when he did, I kept thinking "well, he'll never get taken to the station", then he did, and then I was thinking "but he'll never get booked", then he did...it was nervewracking!! It just kept getting worse and worse--and what a sigh of relief that Jack got to keep his identity a secret in the end. For a short story, it was slammin'. So much suspense in such a short time. Loved it. Amazon Jack - Maggers - 02-12-2006 Rakosh wrangler Wrote:I enjoyed "The Long Way Home" as well.... Welcome to the Board Rakosh Wrangler. Glad you enjoyed "The Long Way Home." There are many on the board who've read TLWH, and many more who have not. You might want to adjust your post to include SPOILER warnings so those who haven't read it can still be surprised by it. Glad, too, that you've discovered this really neat-o place to hang out. |
