Medusa Wrote:I looked up the guy who plays Richard and it looks like his eyes alway look like that. God what I wouldn't give to have pre-lined lids...
Nestor Carbonell has always had dark flashing eyes, but they may not always be lined like that. I've seen him in several shows, first and most hysterically in a Brooke Shields/Judd Nelson sitcom from the 90's where Carbonell has the greatest Hispanic accent, so much so I was surprised to hear him speak without an accent during an interview. I should clarify that Carbonell was hysterical and not necessarily the show.

Maggers Wrote:Richard dates back to who knows when. I think he comes from ancient times, perhaps ancient Egypt, which we may see in the next few episodes.

Along with his eyeliner, I rather expect that Richard may have four toes, given the statue appearing vaguely Egyption to me.

Same here.

colburn0004 Wrote:The biggest thing that hit me was the statue and Sawyer pointing out Richard Alperts Eyeliner. The Eyeliner seemed to point out that maybe its there for a reason and not just how the actor has it.

Agreed. Maybe there is an Egyptian connection after all.

colburn0004 Wrote:Also what was different about this baby to have been born?

I think that in the 70's, there wasn't a problem with women dying from childbirth. It seemed to be a problem of present time.

colburn0004 Wrote:Also did anybody notice you never see Faraday in the three years later parts?

That's right. He must be off time traveling. Maybe he gets on the sub after the 2 weeks given to search for the crew of a ship that never existed. Funny that Sawyer said they were searching for the Black Rock though.

I've never heard him with the accent. Does he have that sexy Antonio Banderas accent? **shivers**

Oh, his accent was wicked good. Big Grin

With I saw the hieroglyphics on the door to the smoke monster, the door that Ben opened last season when he called the smoke monster to take out the freighter crew, I began to think there would be an Egyptian connection, and I've always thought Richard Alpert's eyeliner is a hold over from his high old times as an Egyptian aristocrat or god or somesuch. And the Island "exit" is in northern Africa, so, again, why not an Egyptian connection?

After I put all that together in my head, I heard the LOST creators have confirmed there will be an Egyptian connection on a podcast. They, too, referenced the hieroglyphics on the smoke monster door.

Dan was working on the building of the Orchid station in the first episode of this season, remember that? He wore a hard hat and Dharma overalls and he bumped into the scientist guy who could very well be Myles father. So he could be there on the Island but somewhere other than the "New Otherton."

Sawyer thinks on his feet, and he knew to mention the Black Rock because it would give credence to his story. I was quite proud of how he handled his interchange with Richard Albert. It showed me how much Sawyer has grown since he's been on the Island, how he has grown into a leader.

LOST Season 5 *Spoiler Edition* - Alvin Fox - 03-06-2009

Figure Faraday is still there doing Dharma work. Like digging/ building the Orchid station from the begining of first episode this season. Finds out where the wheel is so maybe he can dislodge it so everyone can have a chance to get back to their original time.

Didn't they mention trouble with other pregnancies and that whe was scheduled to be taken off the island? I took this as though they still had the problem then too.

LOST Season 5 *Spoiler Edition* - metllicamilitia - 03-09-2009

Just got caught up on Lost.

Okay, something I didn't see on these last two pages. Everyone remembers how the Dharma reels were choppy right? Everyone assumed something was missing, what if there isn't? We just saw the Dharma guy have to stop recording because of the wheel in the wall. Maybe this explains it.

I was never confused in the last episode about what time area they were in especially when Jack and them disappeared off the plane. But, what I am confused about is how Locke is alive again and what time period he is in. And why Ben is on the island, when he said himself he would never be able to return to the island after moving it, he said the island was done with him and wouldn't let him come back.

Oh, oh, oh, yeah, Danielle........she was pregnant when she got on the island. How? If Ben is the father, how she is pregnant when she got there? Is Ben really not the father? This season has been confusing with all the time jumps and what not.

"We're not going to Guam are we?"

We don't know this yet. It will be revealed.

Ben lies for living. Don't you know by now you can't believe a word that comes out of his mouth? Big Grin

No one ever said Ben was the biological father. Ben was Alex's adoptive father. Rosseau's husband, whom she shot in the head, is the most likely the biological father, as he and she both refer to the baby as their's during the episode.
