I know how heartbreaking would that be hehe

But i must admit i'm finding it really hard to picture how they're going to wrap the series up without it feeling like a huge anticlimax

I think the problem is, everyone has so much invested in Lost having the most amazing finish, that a lot of people are bound to be disappointed, regardless of whether or not they have anything to be disappointed in.
I have to admit, I can't see that there's any way for them to wrap absolutely everything up. But I also think that the standard of this show is such that the writers won't mess up by having a lame ending. I honestly believe they've had the ending planned since day one, so there's no reason to think it won't be as good as any other episode.

Yeah i think this is the problem with most of these big shows they become so popular and people do come to expect so much from them that it is going to be hard to meet all these expectations. And with so many questions raised week after week it is going to be incredibly hard to answer them all - i definetly do not envy the writers this job. But as you say the standard so far has been so high that this hopefully will be reflected in the final episode

If that doesn't work, go to abc.com, click on "free episodes" and follow the prompts. You can choose what shows you'd like to see.

LOST Season 5 *Spoiler Edition* - Maggers - 03-03-2009

Just a thought....

As far as a fantastic ending to the series, I've got one word to remember.... volcano.

I don't know if it will happen to end this season - I doubt it. But I fully anticipate the volcano that was referenced in Ben's flash back to resurface, so to speak. That flashback was in Season 3, I think.

Remember in Ben's flashback.... He is in a classroom with his little friend Annie and all the other children. Ben is new to the school. The teacher is showing them an experiment to demonstrate the explosive activity of a volcano. Little Annie raises her hand and asks, is that like the one we have here on the Island. The teacher says yes. Then THE OTHERS begin attacking and the teacher grabs her rifle while the kids go into attack mode, crouching by the wall, etc., and little Annie drags unknowning Ben from his desk to the wall.

Of course, you all remember that the teacher is the wife in the couple who rescued Ben's parents as his mother was giving birth to Ben and dying.

Do you suppose Frank was ever on the Island before he came with the Freighter Gang?

I've wondered this too, but then I thought that he was supposed to be the original pilot of 815. I sort of thought this would lend to the idea that the island didn't want him.(at least at that time) The island has a way of getting the people to the island if they are supposed to be there. And Abbidon was good for this too since it is him who got him on the frieter I would suppose.

Too bad, but I didn't expect that overseas viewers would be able to watch it, from what others have said over the years.
