Aprilis Wrote:Thats a good thought and would be a nice twist but it is too much of a coincidence that Claire's mom is in town. And you know the old saying about coincidences... there is no such thing.

Maggers Wrote:Well, that certainly makes things easier for Kate and is much more simple than my thought. Yes, I can see that happening.

That was Cobalt's thought last week. Aaron left with his real grandmother.

This week we see Locke leave Walt in NY and not bother to ask him to join the trek back. Kate wouldn't bring Aaron. Sun wouldn't bring her daughter. No children on the island, a wise choice.

The second plane did crash as I thought. The pilot took off in a boat, but with who? Sun perhaps?

And the biggest shocker. Evil Ben kills Locke.

I don't trust either Widmore or Ben. Both are ruthless and their agenda only causes more death.

LOST Season 5 *Spoiler Edition* - cobalt - 02-26-2009

If last night's episode didn't make me not like Ben....well now. Ben is evil incarnate! I don't care what his agenda is. He talks Locke down from the table where he would hang himself, but when he finds out Locke knows about Mrs Hawking....he strangles him and then makes it look like the suicide intended.
Widmore is no better....he just has others do his dirty work. I certainly don't trust him either.

Things I wonder......
If Jin survived the explosion on the tanker.......did Michael?
Who tells Hurley when and where to join flight 316?
What is going to become of this new plane load of survivors?
What about Penny? I so hope she and her son aren't killed!

LOST Season 5 *Spoiler Edition* - Jamo - 02-26-2009

@Maggers: No, I don't know of any enhanced versions. Perhaps I try to find them ^^

Last episode was really really good! The plane crashed and the "important" people disappeared, okay. To where? A special place on the island?

Why didn't Ben disappear? Is he on the "bad side" for the island, and Widmore on the good to protect it? So the island doesn't want Ben coming back?

Why did Ben kill Locke after talking him from the table? Just because of Mrs Hawking? Why??

My thought on that is - Ben was talking Locke down to keep him alive when he thought that sticking with Locke was his ticket back to the island. When Locke just told Ben about Ms Hawking, Ben decided to kill Locke and seems to be on the path towards reclaiming his leadership role on the island.

Yet Ben had taken good care of Locke's body as we have seen. I find this strange. It's almost as if Ben didn't want anyone knowing about Mrs Hawking until he told them.

LOST Season 5 *Spoiler Edition* - Alvin Fox - 02-26-2009

I want to know what the requirements are for jumping through time.

Evidently, Others don't jump through time. (The first jump when Locke was with everyone and then not.) So Ben is stuck with the 316 survivors and suddenly Locke doesn't jump through time. Even though Lapedus spent time on the island he didn't jump back with Jack, Kate and Hurley. If Christian is as alive as Locke is now then he's been jumping through time as well.

Also, since the plane did crash Jack, Kate and Hurley didn't fall from the sky. They just don't remember the crash.

Oops, check that. Forgot that Ceasar mentioned Hurley and others disappearing from the plane.

It's beginning to hurt my brain to think about LOST too much now. All I can do is watch, but trying to figure out what is happening has become too much for me. My tiny brain ain't up to it.

That doesn't mean that I don't LOVE LOVE LOVE this show. I just can't begin to figure out what's up or down or past or present or future or anything else.

I still like reading all the theories, though they are hurting my brain, too. Big Grin

So do I.

At first I thought if you were on the island for a period of time, say a year, you became accustomed and the jumps don't "move" you. But then I remembered Juliet was with Sawyer, Locke and the people from the freighter. They all jumped together. So there went that idea.

Okay now, my head hurts.

You see! You see! It's too much. Ouch!

But Juliet wasn't originally an Other. And neither was Ben hence his still being with 316.
