Here in the good old USA these days, we're not supposed to employ such insensitive, divisive terms. Say what you mean? Not anymore, pal. Let's see...it's Tuesday, so I guess the approved phrase today is "alternatively sane." But that might change tomorrow. Sanity deficient? Coherence challenged? Non Compos Mentis? To the layman, the term is "sub-clinically neurotic," or as psychiatrists would say, "stark staring bonkers." Ken V. Actor For Jack - Susan - 07-21-2004 Peter Wrote:Oh, I don't have the hang of this! A little swarthy compared to how I see Jack. But yeah, not far off the mark. Personally, after seeing Susan's link to Edward Burns, my vote is already in. Cusack would be a decent choice, though it's been mentioned that Jack isn't supposed to stand out and Cusack is fairly recognizable. But now I'm just being nitpicky. Obviously avid RJ fans would see it as important, but since this is going to be a movie in an entirely different medium, the actor might need more presence. The other characters in the movie, as characters, might not notice him, but the audience- the viewers- would need a little more distinction. Maybe it just doesn't matter to me since I wouldn't notice Tom Hanks in the street if he was doing a jig naked. Well, maybe that's an exaggeration, but you get the point.[/QUOTE] I love Cusack, I have since his days as a teen "idol" in the 80s, and you must admit after "Grosse Point Blank" he can pull off the "morality ambialance <SPI>" of the Jack character. But I still must admit I like the guy that played the Jarod character in the tv series The Pretender, i think he would be the perfect Jack but he is probably dead now. I'd suggest you should be ashamed of yourself, if such a suggestion weren't beyond-the-pale nowadays. Actor For Jack - Bluesman Mike Lindner - 07-26-2004 jimbow8 Wrote:Reality Challenged?
