Aussie Repairman Jack Question - Evil_Kitty - 05-06-2005 something is telling me thati wont fully understand the time frame untill i read more of his books... my main question is i've read two from the The Adversary Cycle, which is the tomb and the touch, ive also read Legacies (i think. the one with the two practicing clairvoyants and the little ghost girl). the touch dosen't seem to tie into anything yet, so i'm guessing i need to read more? Hi EK, "The Haunted Air" is the book about the two practicing clairvoyants and the little ghost girl. That's one of the later RJ books. "The Touch" ties in most with "Reborn," "Reprisal," and "Nightworld, also known as the Adversary Cycle. Having read all of the RJ books and the Adversary Cycle, many of them at least twice, I can safely say you have a world of fun waiting for you in the extraordinary universe F. Paul Wilson has created for us. Enjoy! FPW will be revising and updating the AC in the near future to more fully incorporate the RJ storyline. As of right now the AC stands very well on its own. Aussie Repairman Jack Question - Flinx - 05-13-2005 Hi Evil_Kitty Good to see another Aussie here. I'm living near Sydney. I get a lot of my books direct from overseas, but all the RJ books I got locally here in Australia. I do know of a couple of stores here that stock FPW's books or will order them in, either tonight or over the weekend I'll try to post a list of the stores that I know have FPW's books. Flinx Aussie Repairman Jack Question - Flinx - 05-16-2005 Hi Evil_Kitty, Here is the list; In Sydney, Galaxy Bookshop. In Parramatta, Infinitas Bookshop. In Brisbane, Pulp Fiction, no website but they do mail order. It has been quite a few years since I have visited Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth & Hobart. When I was last in Melbourne in '99 there was Slow Glass Books and Minotaur. I think Slow Glass Books has closed their store but still do business through mail order. I was last in Perth in '97, but back then there was a store in Perth, one in Fremantle & another, I think, in Subiaco that were devoted to sci-fi & fantasy. I can't remember exactly when I was in Adelaide, probably late '80s or early 90s, was there for HongCon with Neil Gaiman as guest of honour. But I remember there was a small sci-fi & fantasy bookstore. In Hobart I remember one bookstore that had a selection of sci-fi & fantasy books. Can't remember the name, mainly remember because they had a comics section upstairs. I can't provide any details for Canberra. Galaxy, Infinitas, Pulp Fiction & Slow Glass Books all get regular book shipments from overseas. I think Galaxy would be a good place to start as they have a selection of FPW's books. I usually get my RJ books plus others from them. I was hoping to get into Sydney on the weekend to make a list of FPW's books that were in stock at Galaxy. When I was in there last week I remember seeing Sims, Criss Cross, a few other RJ books and other novels. Previously I have seen all the RJ books in paperback, The Keep, Gateways also the Stealth hardcovers of An Enemy Of The State & Healer plus others. Unless there is a new book I want I usually don't pay much attention to the titles I already have. Hope this helps. Flinx |
