Yes, he is. He has pleasant taste in music. My other favorites are songs of Dirty Fighter series.

I never got in on this discussion initially, and seeing as how I am still trying to get to senior member status I will reply now.

My favorite soundtracks are:

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (Yo Yo Ma's skills astound me.)

O Brother Where Art Thou (Allison Krauss and all that bluegrass, I was in heaven)

The Wedding Singer (What can I say, I dig the 80's)

I like a lot more than that but those are my favs.

They recently released it on DVD. I just hope that the soundtrack will be released on CD as I only have it on record & can't play it anymore.

I guess the industry now distinguishes between soundtrack and score, although I only heard soundtrack when I was growing up, and it always meant the intrumental music. Guess not anymore.

So, two of my favorite scores are:


The Natural (Robert Redford film based on Bernard Malamud's book, with a totally different ending, but I like it better the way the film ends)

Also, The Natural has perhaps my favorite direction shot in any movie. Think I'll try to find the thread for favorite scenes and post it there.


Rob Roy (modern Liam Neeson version)

Sean
