Favorite Movie Soundtracks - Kenji - 12-24-2004 Blake Wrote:My (now deceased) father is in that movie! He's only visible for two or three shots, I think. He's the guitar player on the far right in the recording studio near the end of the film. If memory serves, he's sitting next to Marty Robbins. Oh! Is it true? That's wonderful! So, your father met Clint Eastwood? What a envy! Quote:Being my father's beneficiary, I still get royalty checks for that film every year. Since it came out on DVD, my annual take has increased to over $20. The check normally gets sent to my mother's address, and she then sends it on to me, usually with a mildly humorous note not to squander my inheritance or something along those lines. I have DVD, too! (Well, I have all of Eastwood's DVD, except The Bridge of Madison county) Okay, someday I'll check on DVD. Quote:I didn't know Clint had scored any of his own films, and especially not about the Unforgiven theme. Neat. He has pleasant taste in music. His son Kyle seems to be quite a talented bassist now, too. Yes, he is. He has pleasant taste in music. My other favorites are songs of Dirty Fighter series. Growing up in the Bronx, we weren't exposed to it much. Favorite Movie Soundtracks - Maggers - 01-13-2005 Flinx Wrote:A few of my favourite soundtracks are; They made a movie about BIGGLES!!!!?? Favorite Movie Soundtracks - bkwormonthenet - 01-14-2005 Maggers Wrote:What are your favorite movie soundtracks? I guess the industry now distinguishes between soundtrack and score, although I only heard soundtrack when I was growing up, and it always meant the intrumental music. Guess not anymore. So, two of my favorite scores are: The Natural (Robert Redford film based on Bernard Malamud's book, with a totally different ending, but I like it better the way the film ends) Also, The Natural has perhaps my favorite direction shot in any movie. Think I'll try to find the thread for favorite scenes and post it there. Rob Roy (modern Liam Neeson version) Sean |
