Secret History of the World - quikfix228 - 03-28-2013 I think it's most fun to read the young jack and early years after you've read it all and you know what jack is all about. It's cool to see where he got a lot of his ideas and ways after you know what he is capable of. I read all the jack books in order an the adversary cycle excluding nightworld in between. Read the revised 2012 edition after it all. It's so awesome and the revised ending is beautiful. I was going to say read reborn and reprisal before dark at the end but then realized The One is around for the whole rj series. (Like how I avoided all possible spoilers ?) Secret History of the World - jordanswiderski - 03-29-2013 I have just found out about these books and am about halfway through the keep. Very happy to have discovered these. Secret History of the World - jordanswiderski - 03-29-2013 I have a question for you all. I think since I am new to this, and have started with The Keep, I will read them in the order listed on The Timeline. Should I read Sibs after Reborn? Also, should I go back and read Black Wind? I found the download for Demonsong and plan on reading that when I finish The Keep. Secret History of the World - CC13 - 04-02-2013 Hello jordanswiderski. I started this thread and I am also new here. I just fished The Keep and I plan on reading Reborn next. If you go back to Lisa's original post, she recommends reading The Keep, The Tomb, and The Touch first, then the Jack books, then Reborn, Reprisal, and Nightworld. Other's have recommended reading chronologically according to "The Secret History of the World." I plan on doing a hybrid of sorts since it seems the general consensus is to keep Reprisal and Nightworld at the end. After Reborn i will read Sibs and jump to Legacies and the remainder of the Jack books (I read The Tomb first as it was recommended by a friend). I will go back to other fillers and Cold City (since it was just published) after Nightworld as was also recommended by most. As I mentioned before, I tend to be very systematic and I think this is a good plan for new readers like you and me. Secret History of the World - Marc - 04-02-2013 Basically it comes down to this: The Keep, The Touch and The Tomb were written as standalone books, never intended to be connected. For that reason you can read them in any order. The published order is Keep, Tomb, Touch. If you want chronological order then it is Keep, Touch, Tomb. Again, doesn't really matter. By the time Paul got to Reborn her knew he was tying those three stories together with three news ones. Because of that you should read those in the order they were published: Reborn, Reprisal, Nightworld. Now, if you know you're going to read the Adversary Cycle (not the RJ ones) then go with chronological: Keep, Reborn, Touch, Tomb, Reprisal, Nightworld. All the RJ books fill in the holes in Jack's story between The Tomb and Nightworld, but they aren't required reading for the Adversary Cycle. So I recommend starting off with those six books and then go back and read the RJ stuff if you want (all fifteen books). Secret History of the World - jordanswiderski - 04-02-2013 Well I just finished The Keep. No wit is time to make the decision. Secret History of the World - spiralcity - 04-11-2013 I started reading F.Paul Wilson years ago, long before RJ was a series. I started with The Keep which was the first book in The Adversary Cycle, followed by The Tomb, The Touch, Reborn, Reprisal, and Nightworld. This was how they were released, so I had no choice but to read them in this order. As it stands now, Nightworld wraps up the entire project. Happy reading, Kevin Secret History of the World - jordanswiderski - 04-15-2013 I am reading Black Wind at the moment. I really enjoy this book.
