Been away for a while (again), and saw this thread (new FPW books = excitement!).

I'd better get in gear and buy myself both Cold City and the updated version of Nightworld.
I asked myself if I should be a cheap-skate and wait 'til the softback editions come out, but then I realized that I should give the gift of $$$ to Paul for his hard work and give the gift of his excellent writing to myself for my good behavior this year. Besides, who really wants to wait for the softbacks to come out? Confusedmile:

Update: both books have been ordered: Cold City I'll be getting this Friday and I'll have four days off from work to enjoy that one. Nightworld will arrive after Christmas next week sometime.
:clap2:

Hi,

My wife and I (both big RJ / FPW fans) are kind of OCD about our book collection, and, since we have the RJ series all in paperback (going back to the original Tomb) as well as the Adversary Cycle (in paperback), we wanted to get an idea of when Cold City (and Nightworld (revised)) will be available in paperback?

Thanks!
John (and Kristen)

The paperbacks are generaly out a year after the trade hardcover (as distinct from the special editions).
I have the Adversary Cycle in the recent trade paperback editions, so I too am awaiting the TP edition of Nightworld so I can at last have a uniform set. I had a mixture of paperback and hardcover. In the meantime I've got the Kindle edition to enjoy.
Eventually I'll go for the complete RJ series in matching editions as the collection I've got up to now is mixture of publisher formats.

The other day I went to my former place of work to buy me usual English music mags. And I was booted out by manager Veronica, with a cop by her side. Did nothing wrong at all. Just wanted to spend some coin. That's Barnes and Noble class, gang. May rats gnaw off her face in hell. But no, that's too harsh. Just let her look in the mirror every morning and realize why no man wants her.

I haven't been on this site for a while so forgive me if someone has already speculated on this, but how much ya wanna bet Jack's friend with benefits, Kristen, turns out to be a high-priced call girl? Think about it: 1) She'll only get together with Jack on Sunday afternoons, absolutely no strings attached, no commitments: 2) She's vague about her job as a "party planner", but says she's "saving a ton of money": 3) Jack follows her and sees her meeting with an older couple in a limousine. He assumes she's meeting with them to plan a party, but is that what's it's really about? 4) She's obviously out of the picture later on, since Jack is with Gia and Kristen is never mentioned. What do you think? Did I call this?

Srem! Glad to see you're on the forum. I was just wondering when you'll be converting the Compendium to an eBook format. And since it appears in whatever language the reader happens to speak, will that cause problems like short-outs or flash burns with my e-reader? Thanks. :p
