The filmmaker turned TRAPS into a short film, it was pretty damn good. There is a scene in the short film where one of the characters is driving and on the radio in the car you hear about a woman who threw herself from a high-rise hotel room. I thought that was clever.

I think I would consider the Keep "watchable for a good silly time" if I didn't have such personal affection for the book.

I agree. I am sure people who watched the film without reading the book first (or at all) weren't as offended by the interpretation.
