LaNague books - Karithna - 06-22-2011

I just read Wheels within Wheels and The Tery. Both were excellent, and I'm looking forward to Healer and Enemy of the State. I have real old copies, and I've gotta say they were better than they looked!

I've got them all and read them all, at least twice. I've been hooked on FPW since The Keep was released. I searched long and hard and have multiple copies of the books that had been out of print and now I am getting them on Kindle. But I don't want to give up the hard copies and paperbacks. As I said, I'm hooked.Big Grin

There's not a stinker in the bunch, and that's a might big bunch. Not only are there no stinkers, they are all grand!

As so many have said, I will read whatever Paul writes. What a gift he's got.

I love The Tery and my personal all time favorite non-RJ book is Deep as the Marrow with my all time favorite heroine.

Keep 'em comin', Paul. Your groupies love you!

I'm going to have to get into the LaNague books. Just never come across them but I'm sure I can find them.

Lisa Wrote:The LaNague books are my favorite. Smile Do read Healer, Wheels Within Wheels, and An Enemy of the State, as those are the best of LaNague.

Those are the best of LaNague, and considering how good The Tery* is, that really is saying something. I have a real soft spot in my heart for Peter LaNague, he is a true mensch. Tolive is my ideal world Smile

*I have a feeling that SIMS had its conceptual origins in The Tery, but it might just be my imagination.

This should help.

I purchased a set around a year ago off of Abebooks. Let me know if you can't find them over there, I could help arrange something.

Thanks Brian and Anemone, I should be able to manage but thanks for the kind offers.

I'd really like to see The Tery as a graphic novel. Just started Enemy of the State last night. I'm excited.

An author recommendation for everyone who enjoyed the LaNague books and who also likes Heinlein -- try H. Beam Piper.

A lot of Piper's works have been "kindle-ized" and are available for very low prices. The first one I read was Little Fuzzy and it was great. I'm currently reading a collection of Piper stories and novellas on my Kindle and I'm really getting a kick out of them.
