Need more rasalom books - The Mad American - 06-02-2011

I don't mean to be the village naysayer (or idiot depending on who is thinking of me) but am I the only one who is excited at the prospect of completely new material?

Buehler?

Buehler?

I wasn't sure whether you were being sarcastic or not.

Either way, we certainly don't want Paul to burn out on the subject.

I'm sure he has lots of other themes/subjects to write novels about, and I'm looking forward to reading them.

You know though, some of these secret history books just barely relate to AC/RJ though. I finished Sibs and had to come to the board and ask why it was listed as secret history. The first three book of the AC don't appear to relate at all until nightworld. So Paul could write just about anything and throw something in to make it a part of the secret history universe. I really love horror books. He could write a horror book centered around an infernal. Where the infernal is the only connection to the secret history. I'd like to see him write another horror book anyway

That's because they weren't really "related" until years after they were written. He would do one-off mentions to tie his own universe together, but at the time he wrote them he didn't know he'd be doing the whole Secret History/RJ series thing.

When did he actually start calling it the "Adversary Cycle" ?

I believe that was in the early 90's when he released Reborn, Reprisal, and Nightworld. Those are the books that really tied together The Tomb, The Keep, and The Touch into one history.

You should really know better than using his name. If he finds you, well, you'll only be able to move your head. Good evening.

There could always be a series about young Ras and Jonas. A kind of YEA book (YEA would be books for Young Evil Adults)
