Ah ain't certainly not gonna tell Paul how to fictioneer, but this ah-deer just slapped me upside mah damn haid...

Young Jack moves to the Big Town. Doing the work he was born to do. Making a little name for himself. "Jeff, I heard about this guy... He maybe can help you. He don't work for cheap, but... You got nothing left, right?"

And Jack, still learning the ropes, makes a mistake that leaves his customer even worse off.

Just a thought.

Agreed; learning from his own mistakes will have made him into the overly-cautious, see-it-from-all-angles fix-it-man that he has become today.
