Yes, I learned that from someone standing nearby as I was taking the pictures. Luckily it wasn't a policeman. I haven't taken any subway shots since then.

I also deliberately did not get any one's face clearly shown in the pics.

Wait, why can't you take pics in the subway?

I'm glad you like 'em, MA.

For explanation, this is a subway stop in Manhattan, but not the one specifically mentioned by FPW. It will do, though, to give an idea of what the subway is like when you're standing on the platform.

Very nice Maggers. You are a scholar and a gentlewoman. Very cool stuff.

Yeah I had the same thought, but the more I think about it the more it disturbs me.

Post 9/11.... Security reasons. I get the need completely. Just think of of the millions of people who use the trains daily and tunnels running under rivers and what could happen. 'Nuff said.

Another flash from the past. These are shots I took at the time HARBINGERS first came out. They show where the Gia and Vicky suffered the hit and run "accident." They also show the place where a particularly heinous act was carried out...by Jack. Or, put another way, where Zek left his heart.

First Shot:
The cul de sac, nearly invisible from the highway or the walkway that pass it, where Jack and Zek had a heartless encounter.

Second, Third, and Fourth Shots:
Assorted views of the cul de sac from across the highway, from the walkway nearly right in front of it and from the walkway several yards away. Jack knew the exact right spot to pick for the job.

Fifth Shot:
The intersection where Gia and Vicky suffered the hit and run "accident."

Thanks for sharing those photos, Maggers. What a big photo! Big Grin

But it's kind of funny . . . in a way.

I just came back from the big gun show in Feenix, and no camera's are allowed there either. But nearly everyone has a cell phone and nearly all cell phones have built-in camera's.

Yup, that is kinda silly.

I was blatantly taking pictures of the station and the trains, not people, and I think if I'd been doing that with a cell phone and the MTA transit police were around, they would not be pleased. I've seen commuting school kids and tourists taking cell phone pics of each other inside the subway car, and no one seems to have a problem with that.
