Movie store close out. - Bluesman Mike Lindner - 04-11-2010

The Mad American Wrote:I think you nailed it more with Netflix and Redbox. Seems people would be more inclined to rent movies during a down economy or tight times. But the business model of Hollywood and Blockbuster just never evolved to deal with the competition of Netflix, Redbox and other companies like that.

I wish I would have gotten wind of closures and been able to get some deals like KRW but the BLockbuster and the Hollywood near us closed overnight it seemed. No notice, just closed up and gone.

Sounds suspicious. Maybe the poor staff are bubbling in alien stewpots while the evil aliens are trying to figure out what the fuck is happening in THE NUTTY PROFESSOR.

Not pleasant to think about. No sir, not pleasant at all.

Now that you mention it and I stop to think, there was a band of suspicious looking Gypsys that rolled through town right about then.

Sure. It's well-known the Gypsies are the aliens' agents on Earth.

Another thing contributing to the demise of Hollywood Video and Blockbuster are the contracts with the different cable companies.

I can go to the "On Demand" channel with my cable company, pick from a wide variety of movies, and only pay $3.95 for a one time viewing. However, I can record the one time viewing to my DVR, and then watch it as often as I like.

Beats the heck out of going down to the local video store and finding out they don't have the movie I'd like to see (thereby saving me both gas and time).

There are strange tales, Fen--and I am not kidding here--of Gypsy chieftains meeting in the east Long Island woods to "confer." The strange lights? Well, who knows...

Google "gypsies" and "ufos" for some High Strangeness. But please be aware an eldritch tentacle might reach out of the Vortex and =pull you in= to an eternal piano rehearsal of CABARET in the Tehran Islamic Entertainment Hall.:cryin:
