He did believe it would work in the end. And he went out and got the stuff to make it happen.

Is it possible to skip Infernal and move on with the series? When I tried reading Infernal I just could not get into it at all. I gave it a shot and between Gia's actions at the beginning and Jack's reaction to the airport tragedy (sorry I just wasn't "moved" by what happened) I just cannot get myself to pick it up again, but I would like to finish the series just so I can read Nightworld...even though cobalt told me some spoilers for Nightworld...but in her defense, I made her tell me LOL

Yes, that should be no problem. Infernal was basically making Jack into a spear. But it may be the last of the books that has a a definitive end. The rest of them are encompassing so much that FPW has to carry the stories over into the next book and so on.

Yeah, you'd be ok, but still miss some interesting info about the Lady. If you are going to skip it, I'd recommend going back and reading all the old threads about it, just so you can catch up.

Or...you could do what I suggested long...long ago. When you see stuff with Gia in it...skip that part. You would miss important info about the lady if you skip this book in it's entirety.

My new excuse.....Sig made me do it. Wink

EdNemo Wrote:I am working my way through the novels and I read Infernal today. It is by far the best book I have read so far. Very touching and well done.

Unfortunately I went to grab the next book "Harbingers" and realized I didn't have it yet. I have Bloodline and By the Sword (which was the first book given to me so I read it out of order.) Now I am putting in an emergency order to Amazon! Can't wait for the next one!

While you're waiting on your copy, see if your local library has it. You might be able to check it out today.

I remember Infernal taking a lot of heat from people on this forum. Gia started getting under the skin of some folks as well.

I understand what you are saying but I do not borrow or buy used books. I have these horrible thoughts of people reading in the bathroom or lepers dropping pieces off into the book. Plus, I like to make sure I give my money to the writer.

I know, I am weird about this.

Yeah, and now some of that weirdness has just rubbed off on to some of us here. Those thoughts never entered my mind before, but now....

Well don't get The Fifth Harmonic from the Plymouth Library in Michigan. It's been in my bathroom. I don't know how it got there, though--it's crazy.
