Anybody Seen The Road? - The Mad American - 12-31-2009 GeraldRice Wrote:I only read the book and it was excellent. The writing style takes a little getting used to, but McCarthy will grab you by the heart and just wrench. It was especially hard to read some of those scenes being a parent. I agree with Gerald and Webby here. I have only read the book as well. The style will take a bit to get used to, (wonder if McCarthy was trying to be exsitential or what...not sure) but it is really an emotional book especially as Gerald pointed out being a parent makes some of those scenes smack you hard. Don't think being a parent is necessary to enjoy and be moved by this story though. Anybody Seen The Road? - Kenji - 06-27-2010 Today I saw THE ROAD, it was excellent film. Not entertainment like "The Book of Eli", but I prefer THE ROAD. Anybody Seen The Road? - Medusa - 06-27-2010 I have it on my Netflix. Due to show up tomorrow. I can't wait to see it. Anybody Seen The Road? - Medusa - 06-29-2010 We finally watched this. The movie seemed a little slow but I liked it. |
